To introduce the new Spicy Sriracha Chicken Sandwich we needed a campaign that would get the target group’s attention. Especially focusing on social media which is getting more popular each day. To get the desired attention from the people on the streets and at our BK locations we introduced a chicken costume. During the first weekend of the campaign the Chicken would be at each restaurant giving guests the opportunity to take pictures.

But we were also looking for a bigger social media impact, something different. This started the relationship with Gilmher Croes, Giomar Leocadia and his team. Already creating a lot of short sketch videos on their own social media channels they started a new hype on the island which matched perfectly for Burger King. Working together they created a series of 5 original videos for Burger King to help introduce this new sandwich: “Ban yuda Gilmher” (translation: Let’s help Gilmher). This started out to be a very creative working relationship which we still have today. No other brand on Aruba had done this before. Adding this social media project it really became a 360° marketing implementation.
